Keep files Hidden on your Phone

Use Hide It Pro to make sure people can't look at your private files onAndroid and iPhoneYou can store plenty of things on your phone, but the lack of options when it comes to protecting your files from wandering eyes is limited. Luckily, the Hide It Pro app is at hand to help keep certain files hidden. The app offers users a confidential system of being able to place certain files within the app, where people will be unable to find them. As a precaution, the app even disguises itself as an Audio Manager app, and requires you to access its main screen in a truly peculiar way. If you're interested in keeping some of your files private, then read on as we take you through the basics of using the Hide It Pro app.

The secrets behind Hide It Pro
You'll soon notice that after you download Hide It Pro, it's called something different to hide its identity. Here's what you should be looking for...

Hide behind name
As previously mentioned, the Hide It Pro app doesn't go by that name after you've installed it. Instead you need to look for the Audio Manager icon as this is your disguised Hide It Pro app.

Home screen
When you open Audio Manager, the app will open up to a bunch of audio management tools. To find the Hide It Pro app, you need to long press on the Audio Manager header.

File Manager
The File Manager section of the app will let you delete and edit the files which are stored within the app. Here you can edit different settings for individual apps, or make them public for everyone who uses your phone to see

Magic Buttons
The pictures, videos and audio icons contain all of the files that you've hidden through the app. This area of the app is very similar to the gallery on most android 4.0 phones. Simply press on a file to open it.

Extra security
Use encryption to add a password system to certain files. This option is quite is complicated, however, and people new to encrypting their files should make sure they read the FAQs included within the app. Encrypting certain files does offer the best protection.

Hide and seek
After finding your way through to Hide It Pro home screen, you can now begin to hide your files. Press on the lets hide some files tab at the bottom of the page. This will then guide you through your phone's various menus, and  you'll be able to choose the files you want to hide.

Hide apps
As well as hiding your files, the app also allows you to hide your apps, if you've previously rooted your device, press on the Hide apps icon to select the apps you want to hide from your app drawer and home screen. Hidden apps can be accessed through the Hide it Pro home screen.
