Erik Lamela can be the star next season for Spurs

Winger Nacer Chadli, centre-back Vlad Chiriches and Brazil international Paulinho were all relatively disappointing but are all worth keeping ahead of the new season due to the rare glimpses of talent they did show last season.
Not up to EPL standard
Frenchman, Etienne Capoue is not to the standard of the Premier League so he is expected to be sold, whilst Roberto Soldado was arguably the biggest flop of them all.
The Spanish striker had flourished in La Liga before joining Spurs, scoring an exceptional tally of 30 goals in just 46 appearances in his last season for former club Valencia.
Flop of the season
But after securing a £26million move to the capital last summer, Soldado managed just two Premier league goals from open play making him the Premier League's flop of the season.
However, despite all of these players disappointing in their debut season in England, one player struggled more than any other; Erik Lamela.
New transfer record
Tottenham broke their transfer record for the signature of the Argentinian winger spending roughly £30million on the Player.
The 22 year-old had become one of the stars of the Italian Serie A, scoring 21 goals in 67 appearances for Roma after joining them from Argentinian side River Plate in 2011.
The next Bale?
He was given the number 11 shirt, previously vacated by Gareth Bale, suggesting he was Tottenham's replacement for the outgoing winger.
Things did not work out for Lamela in his first year at the club, making just 17 appearances and scoring the one goal as he struggled with persistent injuries.
Although, whenever he did play, he showed class and talent which will of course make Spurs' fans think what could have been had he stayed fit all season.
Like Bale, Lamela can dribble, create and score making him an ideal replacement for the next campaign.
Fearing for their futures
With Argentinian manager Mauricio Pochettino joining Spurs earlier this summer, many of Tottenham's flops from last season will all fear massively for their futures at the club.
Erik Lamela, however, is likely to stay due to his age, nationality and undoubted talent.
With a good run of games and an injury free season, Tottenham fans may just see the £30 million player their club invested in and who knows, he may just be the key player for Pochettino's men next year.

Wilfried Zaha to leave Manchester United for £7m

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has agreed to sell winger Wilfried Zaha for £7 million this summer - just 18 months after the 21-year-old completed a £15 million move to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace. Newcastle United are amongst the interested clubs at the front of the queue to land the one-time England international.
This is according to the Sunday People, who claim that Zaha would be a open to the idea of moving to the north-east. However, the final decision will be made by the Magpies’ owner Mike Ashley, rather than manager Alan Pardew, who wants to bring the tricky winger to St James’ Park three years after the club missed the chance to sign him for just £100,000.
