How to Install Android 4.1 on Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 and S3

How to Install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean on S2 I9100 and S3 Guide and Tutorial. Andriod 4.1 Jelly Bean port has been developed for Samsung Galaxy S2 I9100 and S3 by XDA developers. You can Install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to experience the fastest and smoothest version of Android. With VSync and Triple Buffering, the new Android OS will enhance the touch responsiveness. The system is way smoother compared to 4.0.4 ICS and many things that have annoyed in 4.0.4 have been fixed.

XDA says before attempting to flash this ROM, you need to understand the risks to your device, which include the possibility of causing it to enter a bootloop, causing a soft-brick, or potentially even a hard-brick. However the chances of causing a problem is very less, but still a real possibility. Consider yourself warned. While the ROMs released by XDA are into alpha versions, they are stable enough to let you enjoy Jelly Bean on your Galaxy S3 and S2.

Before are the steps which you should do before starting:

Instructions—

  1. Using CWM, make sure to wipe data/factory reset, then wipe cache, and then go into advanced, and wipe the Dalvik cache too.
  2. From there, flash the ROM (JellyBeanAlpha.zip).
  3. Afterwards, repeat the wipe step (step #1).
  4. Continuing on, go into advanced and fix permissions.
  5. After fixing the permissions, go back and flash the kernel (zIMAGE-JB.zip) — this will fix the mobile data connection. Then flash CWM-SU-v0.89_fixSU.zip, it will get SuperUser working on the ROM.
  6. Finally, reboot the device.
