How to Optimize your Android Battery Life

Device battery uptime is Crucial. Make the most of your battery power with a host of optimisation options an offer. Every Android device is powered by a battery and the longer it lasts the better. The obvious issue with any battery is its lifespan. There is nothing more annoying than the power running out when you need it. Good planning will help ensure that a battery is always charged, but it won't help users get the most out of the limited juice in a battery.

Easy Battery Saver is an optimisation app that keeps an eye on the current battery status via an intuitive interface. For instant optimisation the quick switch panel can be used. Simply tap to switch on/off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Data and Brightness. The default setting for Easy Battery Saver is Normal which doesn't apply any optimisation techniques, so the first step is to select your preferred choice. There are three pre-defined custom options available: General, Intelligent and Super.

Download and install
Use the Play Shop app to access Google

Play, select Apps and search for ‘Easy Battery Saver’. The app will appear at the top of the list; tap it and select Download. Now select Accept & download, wait for the app to install and tap Open to start using the app.

Battery info
By default, the opening Battery info screen
displays the current remaining battery power along with the default mode Normal. The bottom of the screen offers an estimate of how much time the remaining battery power will give, ie Talk Time, Video Playback and Web Surfing.

Quick switch
Sitting in the middle of the Battery info
screen is the quick switch section. This lists the popular battery hungry services and enables users to disable/enable/switch on/off temporarily with a single tap. To switch off tap once, tap again to switch on. Brightness has four settings.

Optimization mode
By default, the Optimization mode is set to Normal. This does not perform any battery optimisation task. There is a selection of pre-defined options including General, Intelligent and Super Power. Select an option to view details and tap Apply to change mode.

Custom mode
The Advanced mode has all the options switched on by default. Before deciding which options to switch on/off tap and hold for a description. After selecting the preferred options for General, Network, Screen and Schedule control, click Apply to activate.

Battery consumption
For a quick overview of how your battery power is being used, switch to the Consumption screen. This displays how the battery power is used, ie Cell Standby, Display, Phone Idle and also Android System. Study these screens to help determine which Optimization mode to use.
